Today the Current Network became the first brand to solicit agencies via Twitter to receive RFPs for its account review.
“This is a TwitteRFP for The Current Network. Searching for a full service ad agency partner,” wrote Jordan Kretchmer, vp of brand at Current. (http://twitter.com/Jkretch/status/1596088784)
Bill Haeck, EVP and Managing Director of OTOi, the digital agency arm of One to One Interactive and myself quickly pulled together a Twitter Video using 12seconds.tv. As of this evening AdWeek recognized our effort as the most robust response thus far:
Responding to @jkretch RFP on 12seconds.tv
We had a great time quickly responding to Jordan’s call for responses. It took us 15 minutes to record 12 seconds of video. ROTFLMAO!!!!! We looked at each other and asked how the hell traditional shops were able to produce 30 or 60 second spots that made any money whatsoever?????? (OH YHA….they fleeced their clients with outrageous production budgets).
The real star of our 12 seconds of fame was Elmo. He stayed cool and collected through the entire shoot. In fact, after my 8th failed take (due to an amateur stage hand named Bruce | Insert Jeremi’s Rant Below):
… it was Elmo who talked me down from the edge and encouraged me to let Bill do the talking and for me to just smile. (Insert tear) HE IS A GENIUS!
Anywho, we are eager to see where this goes. At the very least we all had a good chuckle…….that is except for Bruce.
