Senior Web Analyst

Overview

As part of the Web Measurement & Analytics team, the Senior Web Analyst will work with local and national clients across a wide variety of industries to provide sharp insights on the success of our clients’ marketing campaigns and help improve the results of their online business. This is an essential role within the company and we need someone who is bright, outgoing, willing to learn, able to think about the future while keeping up with the details of everyday campaigns.   

Responsibilities

  • Build strategies for assessing website performance and impact of online marketing campaigns; campaigns can include but are not limited to online rich media, video advertising, e-mail campaigns, paid search, natural search, affiliate programs, and far more
  • Learn from and later consult with internal discipline specialists to define campaign needs, confirm strategies, initiate and execute projects
  • Master, manage and execute reporting via web analytics software (Omniture, WebTrends, etc.) to assess website activity, including visitor engagement, conversion and retention rates, and key navigation patterns
  • Observe, evaluate and report online program trends; provide optimization recommendations to further the success of clients’ future results
  • Manage multiple daily responsibilities, including report generation, QA, campaign analysis, project tracking, and ongoing team meetings
  • Present web analytic findings to clients and clearly articulate analytic approach and techniques to support insights and recommendations
  • Lead and mentor junior measurement & analytics team members
  • Ensure that quality and timeliness of deliverables meet internal team and client expectations

 Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor degree; training with SAS, SPSS, or other advanced statistical tools
  • Three years of experience as an online marketing analyst, business analyst, or similar role
  •  Demonstrated proficiency generating data-based insights and summarizing findings for a senior audience
  •  Strong communication skills (verbal & written); ability to provide concise, clear reporting and actionable analysis
  •  Proven ability to self-check work to ensure results are error-free
  •  Demonstrated project management and team contribution capabilities
  •  Familiarity with online marketing related processes  (e.g., media planning, buying traffic, optimizing SEO and paid search, etc.)
  •  Experience with 3rd party ad servers and online tracking tools (e.g., DART, Atlas, Omniture, AdWords, etc.)
  •  Experience with multivariate testing a plus
