One to One participates in development of PMI's OPM3 model
June 26, 2002
In 1998, the Program Management Institute chartered the formation
of the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3)
Program. The vision of this program is to "create a widely and
enthusiastically endorsed maturity model recognized worldwide as
the standard for developing and assessing project management
capabilities within any organization". This program, staffed
primarily by volunteer PMI members, is working to create a working
model "that provides methods for assessing and developing
capabilities that enhance an organization's ability to deliver
projects successfully, consistently, and predictably in order to
enact the strategies of the organization and improve organizational
effectiveness".
One to One Interactive and the One to One program management
organization are pleased to be participants in this endeavor.
Through involvement in the Research Team in the OPM3 program, One
to One hopes to be a significant contributor in bringing the OPM3
model to fruition. Through these efforts, One to One desires not
only to advance our own capabilities and knowledge, but also to
play a part in advancing the best practices available for use by
program management organizations globally. For those interested in
learning more, background information can be found at
