Tim Ferris: Tips for Blogging
Tim Ferris is an award-winning author and social media expert who was named one of “Fast Company’s Most Innovative Business People of 2007.” This was largely due to the success of his book titled The 4-Hour Workweek, which basically tells people how to exactly find what they want in work and life.
Ferris recently appeared at a WordCamp conference in San Francisco and shared some great advice on how beginner and veteran bloggers can create successful blog posts. Here are a few tips that I found most helpful from an article on SocialMedia.biz:
- Another option to Google Analytics is CrazyEgg, which has plans that start as low as $9 per month.
- Instead of using Digg to spread the word about your blog, try Slinkset, which lets you create your own social news site.
- New bloggers need to have their “own voice” that reflects who they are, not who they are trying to be for an audience.
